Late entries and registration

Thursday 13 September at Woodmead Retail Park – Food Court from 9:00 – 16:00
or

Friday 14 September at Sun City - Valley of Waves from 12:00 - 17:00
or

On raceday - Saturday 15 September - Valley of Waves from 5:30 - 7:00

All late entries will be charged
an additional R20 (10 & 21 km only
)



Discovery Vitality members participating will earn up to 300 fitness points for completing the 6 km, up to 600 points for completing the 10 km and up to 1 500 points for completing the 21 km. Points will be automatically awarded and will take up to four days to reflect on the Vitality Points Monitor.

Routes


The Citizen Trail Run offers 3 distances

The 6 km run will be around the Lost City, inside the secure fencing.

Participants will start at Valley of Waves, exit at the service gate and head towards The Sun Vacation Club, turning onto the dirt road, past the Lost City Golf Course, back to Vacation Club, down into The Palace gardens and back to Valley of Waves.

There will be also a wheelchair friendly route.

The 10 km route will be inside the secure fencing of Sun City, incorporating the Lost City and The Palace gardens, with spectacular views of both the Gary Player and Lost City Golf Courses from the adjacent mountain and loops into Letaseng Game Reserve, affording participants the possibility to catch a glimpse of some game.

The 21 km route will be inside the secure fencing of Sun City, incorporating the Lost City and The Palace gardens, with spectacular views of both the Gary Player and Lost City Golf Courses from the adjacent mountain and loops into Letaseng Game Reserve, affording participants the possibility to catch a glimpse of some game.

Water Points


There will be a single water point on the 6 km, two water points on the 10 km and five water points on the 21 km offering water, cold drinks and something to eat.

All routes will be well marked with yellow ribbons, marshals, safety personnel and medical support.

Prize-giving


Prize-giving will be at 11:00 on the stage at Valley of Waves. All winners need to present a valid ID, passport or driver’s licence as proof of age (see age categories below) before they receive their trophies and prize money.

If a winner does not attend the prize-giving, the money will be forfeited.

Late entry fee

After 9 September 2018 an additional R20. 00 will be levied on the entry fees for the 10 km and 21 km races only.

A temporary running licence of R35 will need to be purchased (upon registration at Woodmead Retail Park or Sun City - see how to enter) if a participant is not registered with ASA – 10 & 21 km only.
